So after a busy day at the Toy Fair, we just wanted to bring you some of the highlights for R/C heli enthusiasts. There are not a great deal of new models around, but as usual at the fair, there are a few interesting new products.
New models from Horizon include the Blade 200 SR X with built-in ‘SAFE’ technology and the Blade 300 CFX which features a carbon fibre main frame. There is also a new Blade quad, the 200 QX BL which has brushless motors.
On the Robbe stand, Eric Weber takes pride of place with his F3N World Championship winning trophies and T-Rex 700E. There are also T-rex 150s in different colours together with other models from the T-Rex range.
The Optipower guys have their new Ultra-Guard failsafe device on show for the first time which is attracting lots of attention. It’s a very neat and cost effective solution that could save your prized model from a nasty fate.
DJI Innovations have their Phantom Vision RTF quads on show in various different colours as well their ‘Total Solution’ drones for professional aerial photography buffs.
Agile helicopters have become very popular since their launch at last year’s Heli Masters and designer Roberto is on hand on the shared Agile/Sky Hero stand to show off the models and answer any technical questions.
Speaking of Sky Hero, they have expanded their range of top quality drones with a number of new models which all feature the now familiar thick outriggers. These are now available in a number of configurations, all of which certainly look different from anything else on the market.
We’ll have more new products, further details and other news from the Toy Fair tomorrow and there will be a full report in the April (No.96) issue of R/C Rotorworld magazine.
